The best time to visit Prague
The most popular time to visit Prague is during the summer months from June to August. However, this is statistically the wettest time of year and as it’s peak tourist season, the city can get very busy and prices are higher.
Therefore, we recommend visiting in the shoulder seasons during spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) to beat the crowds and enjoy mild, pleasant weather.
Prague is also beautiful during the winter (November to March), with the chance to see the city in the snow. December is a great time to visit to enjoy the magical Christmas markets.
How far in advance should you book flights to Prague?

Where to stay in Prague
For easy access to the city centre and a taste of local culture, we recommend staying in Vinohrady. Known for its cafés, green spaces, and LGBTQ-friendly scene, Vinohrady offers a more laid-back atmosphere while still being close to Prague’s main attractions.
For a romantic, historic experience, Malá Strana is the place to stay. With its cobblestone streets and picturesque views of the Prague Castle and Charles Bridge, this neighborhood is perfect if you’re planning to go sightseeing and enjoy peaceful evenings.
If you're looking to immerse yourself in local life, Žižkov offers a more alternative vibe, with its concrete apartment blocks and a high concentration of pubs, ideal for those who want to experience Prague off the tourist path.
